SIC Chill plates
HOFMANN CERAMIC supplies cooling elements that cool heat centres on cast parts during casting without a feeder. The silicon-carbide that is used has a more limited chill effect than graphite and cast iron. As a result, the surface of the casting turns out less hard.
If complicated contours need to be cooled, and it is not possible to create standard dimensions, simply use our mouldable SiC chill mass. It can be prepared and processed just like cold-setting resin sand.
